Some came in unusual and unknown circumstances, some showed up unexpectedly, and some, beyond all odds, stayed. Told from Ryuu's perspective, a glimpse of the various denizens of this realm of our own.
Lady (She/her, Denmate, Star)
Possibly the Lady Rainicorn from Adventure Time. When she first came in through the Realm Gate/Inner Sanctum Gate, she was in bad shape. We had seen a glimpse of war, if believed, in her memory—a moment of telepathic connection. Our unfamiliarity with the source material meant that we aren't sure how AU she is as a greyscale rainicorn.
Ryuu was unable to communicate with her, as she speaks in only Korean. She does understand English. Akumu can talk with her whilst speaking only in Japanese. Yajuu and Lady also cannot communicate, which created a conflict between the two. After Crowley and Aziraphale came, Crowley did a miracle to help translate Lady into English.
She has her own little subden turned sprawling tunnel system and immediately turned from guest to denmate status when Ryuu panicked and dropped her in one of our open subdens. Probably what changed her into a permanent resident.
She spends her days down in the Beyond, living Indiana Jones-style, taming wild dinosaurs and exploring the ancient jungles.
Crowley (Any/Ask, Denmate, Star, guest-greeter)
Aziraphale's partner. Demon, Dragon, Serpent of Eden, Starmaker. Came through with Aziraphale using an invitation. In a polycule with Ryuu.
The secondary point of contact dealing with this side of reality.
Used to spend a lot of time snoozing around as a giant snake. If Aziraphale isn't around, he can get annoying. Of everyone, Ryuu seemed to bond with him the fastest and most closely. They'd curl up as two noodles now and then. Is a lot more relaxed compared to when he first came. Has a great distaste for when people ascribe genders and pronouns based on what Effort or body parts one has.
Got a whole greenhouse garden that looks like Eden in his sudden. Does a bit of starmaking in the realm on the side.
Aziraphale (He/They, Denmate, Star, guest-greeter/host)
Crowley's partner. Angel, Dragon, Principality of the Eastern Gate. Came through with Crowley using an invitation. In a polycule with Ryuu.
He spends his time reading books in various nooks and crannies of the Dream Realm, but largely inside his own subden. Usually takes up the role of guest host.
He had converted his own subden into a proper library hoard.
Doctor [10th/11th] (He/they, Comet)
Timelord. Dropping in one day in his TARDIS, and has been hanging out since. Struck up an unusual friendship with Lady, as Lady offered to fly him off the Floating Island when the mood for exploration struck. The two continue to do exploration together. The Doctor is often not found within the Floating Island. Whenever Ryuu managed to catch him coming back from an expedition, he would transfer the knowledge of the discovery through telepathy.
Is currently off-realm. Had came back to visit with River Song with his 11th face. However, Ryuu can only perceive them with their 10th face.
TARDIS (She/it, Comet)
The Doctor's sentient space-time ship. While Ryuu cannot understand her so literally, we have been able to communicate telepathically, where she sends me vague impressions accompanied by her various sounds.
Has gifted Ryuu an item which they have not opened yet.
Daisuki (They?, Guest/Nebula)
Shows up after the Digimon Con 2026. Doesn't have a human partner or a partner at all. Seems happy to just sleep and eat whatever's around. Speaks in full Japanese. Though through long-term exposure to the Dream Realm and its denizens, seems to have gained English-speaking skills?
Has a friend with one of Lady's Dunkleosteus, and is living happily in the ocean in front of the Den.
Digivolution Path: Agumon➤Seadramon
Eldritch thing (???, Gone/Stardust)
First dropped into our realm through some strange occurrence. A flash of a strong headache was felt by Ryuu in the physical world, and as soon as Ryuu manually and mentally moved the thing to our entrance area, Ryuu found this being. Ryuu had the impression of a falling asteroid or star regarding this being. This is something from somewhere beyond. Semi-sentient, it doesn't respond to much of anything. It is a tad bit unnerving, with a shadowy silhouette and dark tendrils whisping around it. I moved it to our guest hut, and then further moved it to its own cavern outside of our own Den. It now sat in a cave in some unknown mountain directly across from our Den. Since Ryuu didn't set it in our own Den this time (learned from Lady's whole situation), it is still a Guest, and last we checked, still as unmoving as a statue. Really gives the vibe of "void staring back at you" whenever we meet eyes.
One day it simply left.
